Journalism

With over seven years of experience covering motorsports, I have written for numerous publications, both in print and online. This includes motorsport coverage and automotive news.

F1Oversteer and F1 Retro

I was a site lead on F1Oversteer and the spin-off F1 Retro. I covered the championship full-time and produced news features that were optimised for SEO and Google Discover. I also interviewed personalities in F1 and attended on-site events.

RacingNews365

As one of the main journalists at RacingNews365, I covered Formula 1 full-time. I produced analysis features on race weekends, session reports, live blogs, news writing, editorial columns, feature writing, and attended events onsite. I pitched ideas for content based on the general reaction to news by fans on social media, utilising SEO best practice, while also thinking more broadly about what would be interesting to casual and die-hard F1 fans.

FIA AUTO

AUTO was the international journal of the FIA family. I wrote copy for the news section of the magazine, and produced features on both motorsport and the world of mobility. This included features on motorsport safety, the motorsport industry, and an automotive feature on MaaS (Mobility as a Service).

You can see examples of this work here and below.

FIA AUTO+ Medical

AUTO+ Medical was the medical journal of the FIA. I was the Deputy Editor of this publication, organising key interviews, putting together the news section, liaising with the designers, and with the FIA Medical Commission on its content. I produced the main features which looked at the latest developments in the world of motorsport medicine and safety. This included a feature on how Formula 1 became the first international sport to restart during COVID.

ZAG Daily

Zag Daily is a digital first publication taking a fresh and informed look at the business of sustainable mobility and innovation. I produced content and was interim-editor for a brief period.

Work examples can be viewed here and below.

AUTOSPORT Magazine/Motorsport News

While studying at university I covered national motorsport championships including Britcar, Formula Ford, and 750 Motorclub for AUTOSPORT Magazine and Motorsport News. This involved attending events onsite and producing race reports for each of the races at the meetings across the UK that would later be published in their magazine and newspaper.

I also covered international motorsport including F1 Feeder Series Formula 2, IndyCar, and NASCAR for their website.
